Payment is by cash or check, no credit cards. 

The room has its own individual thermostat,  FREE WIRELESS INTERNET, a small refrigerator, but is sparsely furnished with a comfortable queen-sized matresses on a platform,  2 lamps, chair, and table.

 Non-smokers ONLY !

No actual cooking facilties but the room is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, blender, vegetable steamer, crockpot slow cooker, dishes, and utensils.

No pets allowed.

The room has its own private entrance and private bathroom with a shower stall (no bathtub).   It is in a quiet location next to a state forest and generally appeals to Kripalu program participants who want to save money or travellers who don't need all the amenities. ( has only a small TV ). 

Except in the summer, discounts are given for stays that are almost a week.  Call for summer discount information.

Non-summer example, one person for 5 non-weekend nights is $200 total instead of $225.  2 people for 5 non-weekend nights is $250 instead of $275. Call for details.

  From May 1st  to June 24th , weekends are $55 per night for one person,   $65 for 2.    Mid-week prices are the same as above - 45/55.

  From June 25th to Sept. 6,  weekends  are $85 per night per person ,  $90   for 2 people .    Mid-week prices are $65  p/n p/p; $70 for 2 with no minimum stay requirement.

  Two night minimum is in effect for all summer and holiday weekends.  You may stay for one night only at 80% of the two-night rate during these weekends.

  Stays 5 days and longer receive discounts, call for details.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How private is this room?
It is in a seperate area of a home. You have your own private entrance; you do not interact with any one else ; it is very similar to a motel room in terms of privacy. The space you are staying in consists of a 9x12 room with a closet, a small entryway, and a private bathroom you do not share with anyone else.  In many respects it is more private than many B&B rooms.  You may come and go at anytime of the day or night; you will not be disturbing anyone .

What are the check-in/ check-out times?   Standard check-in time is 3pm or later; check-out is no later than noon.   Call if you need to arrange different times.

Are linens provided?  Yes.  Sheets ( cotton ) , blankets, quilt, towels,etc are provided, but you must provide your own shampoo.

How quiet is it?
More quiet than most places.

Is the room air-conditioned?
 No, but a window air-conditioner can be added for a small additonal charge. However, the room almost never needs air-conditioning. It has 2 windows and is equipped with a box fan. Most all people find that air-conditoning is not necessary.  If there is a heat wave, the A/C is added without charge.

Is it okay if I smoke outside?
No, there is absolutely NO smoking of any kind permitted on the property. This room has always been ( for 16 years ) totally smoke-free and pet-free.  Please rent somewhere else if you are a smoker.

Can more than 2 people stay in the room?
Yes , $10 additonal charge per person per day. This is not recommended as it is a small room.  Call to discuss this.

I am a musician and like to practice at late hours. Is this okay?  Generally, yes.  Ask for details because it depends on the instrument.  This room appeals to those who want a quiet setting...and I also cater to musicians.  Because this is the only room I rent,  musical practicing will not disturb anyone else.  After midnight requires permission.

I have heard rumors that it sometimes gets cold in Massachusetts.  How warm is this room?   The room is as warm as you want it to be.  The thermostat in the room is totally under your control and is just for your comfort so you can set it anyway you like.

" 5 minutes from Tanglewood" ?.....an easy 5 minute drive by car;  just 3 miles south of the main gate.
